Animation film production - Nye Mayel Kyong
The production team consists of three animators:
Swarup Deb (Bengal), Anuj Kumar (UP) and Avinash Medhe
(Maharastra). All three are Post
Graduates from the National Institute of Design, 2010, and they have moved
their production studio, Girgit Studios to Pune from Ahmedabad in December
2012.
The production team also includes two young Thangka artists from Sikkim: Tashi
Lepcha and Palzor Sherpa. They both have
Diplomas from the Government Directorate of Handloom and Handicraft (Gangtok),
and they both participated in the Animation Workshop in Sikkim in 2010. Their role on the project is to create
artwork in the Thangka style for the animation film, and to give advice regarding
cultural details.
